I installed the bucket support system and straps. This is what I did. I used a bell bike helmet system. It had to be gutted and trimed them I filed it untill I got the correct size and it was done. The best part is that it is removable from the helmet and it does not need to be glued in at all.

It works great!

Ok, up to date progress on the armour. Not much to show but I will share any way.

I finished up the bucket stands that I made. So here is the finished product displayed.
Image

Ok, now back to the build.

I taped together the shin armour and measured for the fit and feel I wanted.
Image

Then I marked a line on the tape and cut threw each together with the dremel.
Image
Image

I have been reading the board and doing my homework so I found a great way that others are using to do the spoon removal method for the shin armour.
So I ordered an extra set of calf armour.
Image

Its time to put these things together.
Image
Image

Starting with the front shin plate. I did each side of each shin and the right and left shin at the same time and let them dry for 12hrs.
Image
Image

Ah, buy the way purchase several clamps you will need them. I may have went a tad bit over kill, but hey that's the kind of guy I am. :twitch:
Image

The next step was a bit tricky for me. Joining the two half's together. You can't just slap some clamps on and call it a day here. I used a few large claps I had on my work bench. The large clamps work good to bring the two sides together and help the shin armour fall into place nicely.
I started buy fastening one side together first then let it dry for 12hrs then I fastened the other while keeping the clamps attached to the first side.

If you look in this photo like the one before you can see the large clamp I used to hold the shin armour in place.
Image

Last but not least after 12 hrs of drying time I removed the clamps and have left the tape on for now.

And an inside shot of the armour.

My belt arrived yesterday and the craftsmanship on this thing is outstanding. I was very pleased when I unpacked it. Just for the record I think a tear came to me eye. It's a beautiful thing isn't it?

I said it before for all the newbees including myself. DO YOUR HOMEWORK! There is a vast amount of talent here to be found and used. If you look in the correct places.

More to come! Until then good trooping.

Got some work done on the bucket stands and had some free time. My original plan was to cut the spoons out of my calf armour, But.
The spoons may stay, I have discovered that if I turn my calf armour around backwards and put them on, my foot goes threw if I point my toes to the floor. Not sure if this is common or not but it works so for now no spoons will be cut. Sweet! However I do have them if I ever need to change my mind.

On another note I started a small project that was meant for my original idea to do a 41st Elite clone. I have since traded up to do a 212th. I figured that I would go ahead and build it anyway. So here it is.

Just a quick update on the bucket stands. Some paint and they are ready for shipping. I am going to try to get them all painted by Wed. so the paint can cure a good three to four days before they are packaged. After I get them painted I will contact people for PP.
